FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR FRONT PORCH WITH THESE 5 TIPS
1. USE A VARIETY OF PUMPKINS AND GOURDS
Switch things up by not only using orange pumpkins, but add in additional colors and sizes. They can be placed on the ground, stacked or on a crate.
2. HANG A WREATH
Hanging a wreath is a small detail that helps your design feel complete. By having a wreath on the door, you’re also adding an extra element to the design by giving it more height.
3. MAKE IT YOURS
Instead of having the same decorations as your neighbor, consider adding more personal elements that reflect your family. Better yet, get the kids involved and make decorations at home together.
4. PICK A THEME
It’s tempting to pick up every Fall decor item you like, but in order to have a cohesive design, it’s best to pick one theme and stick with it. This could include more muted colors and farmhouse feeling, or hay stacks and scarecrows with pops of orange, or even incorporating textured elements like burlap and wood.
5. KEEP IT SIMPLE
You don’t have to overcrowd your porch make it feel seasonal. When in doubt, keep it simple and be realistic about the size of your porch and what will reasonably fit.
